Mindset
MINDSET
The mind is the set of faculties including Cognitive aspects (imagination,
perception, thinking, intelligence and memory) and non cognitive aspect (emotions
and instincts).
In simple terms, Mindset is the established set of attitudes
held by someone. In decision theory and general system theory, A
Mindset is a set of assumptions, methods, or notations held by one or more
people or groups of people.
We have people with Fixed Mindset (they believe their qualities
are fixed traits and therefore cannot be changed) and Growth mindset (they
believe that their most basic abilities can be developed through dedication and
hard work)
So, today’s lesson is going to be simple, we are going to look at a
Eusocial insect Formicidae (Ant), which belongs to the Order Hymenoptera.
I think most of us believe that ants are very hardworking, if you don’t,
I believe so.
Although ants seem like annoying pests, they actually serve many
important roles in the ecosystem.
#1. Ants never quit: ants
always look forward to achieve their targets, when ever ants are travelling or
exporting food to their various tunnels or homes, no matter the obstacle in front
of them they try their best to find another way which will lead them to their
destination.
#2. Ants do all they can: ant is
an organism I have known that puts in all, unless death crosses its path. They
work hard when its time for them to. They put in their best energy; I believe.
I believe we have all read the Ant and The Grasshopper. Ants never look at others
and acts according to their lifestyle, in this case an ant will be said to be
of a fixed mindset. They stick strictly t their attitude which help them
progress.
#3. Ants make good use of their time: Let’s go
back to The Ant and The Grasshopper’s story, it will be seen that the time that
ant can utilize its abilities is summer. So, it will be seen that, all the hard
work is done in summer. This is the season that they gather all food and prepare
for winter as winter is not a favorable condition for them to do their works.
Conclusion: Most of us tend to look up to big
people for lessons and motivations on how we can achieve their aims or goals in
life. We are ready to learn the secrets of their success. Sometimes the
greatest lesson come from the little things around us.
Thank You.
